CHA provides educational opportunities that foster developing and
sharing solutions unique to children’s hospitals. We bring together
national thought leaders to support knowledge exchange in a variety of
in-person and virtual venues.
More than 80 live webinars and
on-demand recordings provided expanded learning opportunities. Topics on
quality improvement, population health, care coordination, delivery
system transformation, payment models, patient safety, high-reliability
culture, comparative data solutions, public policy and advocacy, patient
and family engagement, and more highlight the innovation happening at
children’s hospitals and in CHA’s supporting programs.

In-person events
- The 2017 Quality and Safety in Children’s Health Conference focused on successful practices to manage the health care of children, advance patient and family engagement, improve care standardization and eliminate harm.
- At the Improving Performance Conference, CHA affinity group members from a variety of disciplines focused on connecting attendees around advancements in employee engagement, quality, cost and outcomes.
- The Annual Leadership Conference engaged 495 children's hospital leaders and leadership teams in hot topics that included care delivery and payment models, organizational effectiveness and strategy and innovation.
- The CEO Health Policy Summit and Capitol Hill Advocacy Day fostered discussion of CHA policy issues, priorities and strategies. CEOs and government relations professionals from 50 hospitals set the 2017 advocacy agenda and conducted congressional visits focused on raising awareness of children’s health issues.
